North Dakota has its own Badlands and they were named after Theodore Roosevelt since not only did he live here but he did so much to support national parks in America during his presidency.
USA – North Dakota
After Theodore Roosevelt's wife and mother died, he moved to the frontier and became a rancher in 1883. He was quite successful but eventually went back to his old life in New York and became a war hero, governor, vice president, and eventually president, all in the next 18 years. We went to visit his first frontier home in North Dakota.

George Custer and his seventh cavalry were stationed here from 1873 to 1876 when they marched from here to be defeated in the Battle of Little Big Horn. Only half of the soldiers returned here from those battles with the Indian tribes. They have rebuilt the house where Custer lived with his wife, the commissary the greenery, and the soldier's Barricks.
